The Strangeness of Science By Richard Dawkins

One of the best intellectuals of modern time talking about how we are not evolved to comprehend the complexities of the world.   Evolution only gives us five senses, and a lot of psychological short-cuts (ie. emotions or hunches).

It is hard for us to grasp or even imagine the worlds we do not have direct contact with (ie. quantum worlds, or cosmological worlds, or higher dimensions).  What we understand of the world is a model our brains construct so we can operate efficiently in it. Animals that evovled differently would have a different model of its world (ie. Bats construct model using sound waves).
