Empty; destitute; wanting; as:
(a) Empty of contents. ``A leer stomach.'' --Gifford.
(b) Destitute of a rider; and hence, led, not ridden; as, a
leer horse. --B. Jonson.
(c) Wanting sense or seriousness; trifling; trivolous; as,
leer words.
