Vail, n. [Aphetic form of avail, n.]
1. Avails; profit; return; proceeds. [Obs.]

2. An unexpected gain or acquisition; a casual advantage or
benefit; a windfall. [Obs.]

3. Money given to servants by visitors; a gratuity; --
